Big Suits

The ‘suits’, which mimic mountains, reference the uniform of a predominantly white male power structure that shapes and controls the authoritarian, non-inclusive, law and order politics and economic policies in our world. Just as mountains are immovable and seemingly impenetrable, so is the structure of the mountains of dark suits in the corridors of Washington and Wall St. The suits are set against a backdrop of red, which could be a theater curtain, as it is all a show. The ‘theater of war’ is a military term for an area where an armed conflict takes place. Red is the color associated with the conservative Republican Party in the US that is currently dominating and controlling with fear and oppression.
